when you run parallel wire, just be sure they are exactly equal length else the resistance differs and the one wire is loaded harder than the other :)

Switching/breaking the DC current is simple. You have to use 3phase relay (drive coil is connected via thermostat) and all 3 contacts of relay in series connection. And in paralel connection to this series, you have to connect big capacitor with diode. This big capacitor has to be connect paralel to resistor. And how does it work? The thermostat switch via relay all three contacts, after you get desired temperature, the contacs are disconnected. As the prevention of electric arc, there is that capacitor, the diode is the prevention to discharge capacitor to contacts, and finally, the resistor is discharger of capacitor. The simplest solution. No electric arc anymore.

Great idea for a pre heat tank. What ever happened with the water heater you were running direct from solar panels?

It looks like you’re running potable water through the furnace loop.. If so I thought that wouldn’t pass code, at least in many places, because it could set up a situation to cause legionnaires disease. The more expensive tank with the sealed heat exchanger is probably the more cost effective route. Another option would be to build a duplicate system - one for domestic hot water and another for hydronic building heating.

Why have a critical loads panel? Aren't all loads critical? Just use a transfer switch and run the entire house off grid, 42 kWh should be plenty. Way less expense in breakers panels, conduit and power distribution panels.

Im just now acquiring some uesd farm equipment, and a large used golf course riding mower by toro,its huge! The 3 cylinder Kubota diesel is all its missing but has 12 hydrolic cylinders, a mile of hydraulic lines,distribution blocks,multiple spool levers ect,ect i cant wait to start!! But awesome job and you totally threw some coal in the fire for me to get mine done!!

I use a solid state relay to turn off the DC coming in. I have 115vdc coming in from solar.

You could get a better match if you swapped out the 220 vac element with a 115 vac 1500 watt element. Only feed the bottom element with solar.

Yeah I would replace the chinese terminal connectors. There is no way they will be rated for the amps or Dc volts coming in from solar.

The SVS has incredible depth that layers through the sound stage. The Klipsch sounds good too but feels less dimensional. Setting a proper crossover for the klipsch with the sub will give the Klipsch the best of both worlds.

Could you connect a conventional 120V AC solenoid on the hot water outlet line controlled by a 120V AC thermostat? That way you can dump hot water if the temperature gets too hot...

That's exactly what I thought when I saw your other videos. I would try and rent it out to people for cheap. To at least get your costs back from building. Ive been having an idea about one of these but instead use winches. Since I wouldnt care about any other attachments besides a bucket.
